About Us

Faith

Hope Centre follows "The Simple Truth". It is all about Faith, not about church as a building,  a theology, nor religion.

We believe faith leads to hope and hope leads to community and a life fulfilled.

Scripture

We look to Scripture as the user manual for life. It is the Word of God, the Holy, inerrant Word of God that guides us to a joy and peace we will not find in anything the world can offer. It is a comfort only found through faith in God.

Community

Hope Centre provides a community gathering place, not just for the faith community, but the entire community. Our facilities are offered to serve our community needs, free of charge and often with in-house leaders.

Welcome!

Bill Martin is managing director of Six Rivers Hope Centre. It was his gift of the Hope Centre property that gave life to the vision for the community.

Known widely as Pastor Bill, he turns away titles, correcting anyone and everyone who refers to him as Reverend or even as Mr. Martin. He is quick to say, "I'm just plain Bill."

His take on faith and life is to seek "The Simple Truth" and not confuse or mystify it by complicating things or adding unnecessary layers.

Bill's background is found in journalism, both in radio and newspaper. He is the beat reporter at www.sixrivers.ca, our online community newspaper, covering community events and news in Six Rivers to the Sea (the ocean side of Nova Scotia's Cumberland County). He also entertains with his off-the-wall style in an online radio program called Morning Talk heard Monday to Friday from 9 to 11 am on Six Rivers Radio.

Bill is host and producer of Let's Talk, a syndicated talk show on Christian radio stations across the three Maritime provinces. Listen and take part on Sunday afternoons at 3 pm.

Bill is our resident pastor, preacher, and teacher.
